GeoCaching - My Containers

Idle hands are the devil's play thing. Well, that may be true. I have put together some containers that I am still looking for places to hide.

Altoids tin (Caching 101 - part A)
I always paint mine. After running into to many that were just emptied and used as a cache, I like seeing just a little effort put into a container.
These are nice if the hide is out of the weather and gets minimal watering. I always place the log in a bag, just in case.

35MM Film can (Caching 101 - part B)
These are simple and can be dolled up with just a little bit of effort. I love to epoxy rare-earth magnets into the lid to up the usability of the hide - If a muggle lifts the lamp post skirt and still sees nothing, maybe they will leave the cache alone. Meanwhile, the cache is neatly stuck to the INSIDE of the skirt.
Add in a little duct tape, this container can hide under cammo in even more spots than just under someone's skirt too. Silver tape allows blending in with a power pole guy wire.
Cammo tape and it's a bush hide.

Bison tube
This is where the fun can begin! Add some magnets and you can stick this evil device to any steel or iron structor! It's very weather resistant and can be painted too.
Add a simple wire hanger and the bison tube can be placed in trees and on fence posts.

Medical sample tube
I found these on eBay being sold by the dozen and bought two. With a simple 2MM rare-earth magnet glued into the lid this evil vile can be placed on posts and fences. I have also used it as a basis for other caches too.

Sprinkler head hide
Even before I saw one on uTube, this seemed like an evil hide but requires planning and timing for deployment. I have two possible locations in mind for this demonic hide.

Bubbler hide
I hit this bubbler head with the weed whacker and knocked the head off, seemed like it would make a nice cache with just a little work. I used a medical vial to keep the log dry, All the cacher would have to do is lift the top.

Magnetic outlet cover hide
After finding a couple of these, I wanted to make one myself. These are actually quite cool in that I have seen these used in plain sight of muggles! Add in a swipe of spray paint across the cover and the location and it adds to the cammo.

Stone hide (top) Stone hide (cache)
I have searched a couple of rock pile hides and I will not do it again. However I will hide a stone cache somewhere it makes sence.

Logs
Here are some of the log strips I use for my caches. (In Excel and Word format.)
